Connect with entrepreneurs, small- and medium-sized business owners and green business leaders for a day of learning, collaboration, sharing, and networking. During this one-day Unconference event you will:

The venue for Green Business Camp 2009 is provided by Inner Light Ministries, which is green certified through the Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program. Inner Light’s “Environmental Ministry” encourages environmental stewardship through a spiritual consciousness of Oneness.
Transportation
- Metro bus lines 69, 69, 70, and 71 stop at Monterey Ave, right in front of the Inner Light Center.
- If driving, from Highway 1 take the Park Ave Exit. Turn onto Park Ave toward the mountains (away from the ocean), then turn left onto Soquel Drive at the second set of lights. Inner Light Ministries will be on the left.
- Rideshare with ZoomPool! ZoomPool is coordinating rideshares for Green Business Camp.
Highlights
To give you an idea of the type of people who will be attending and who you will have a chance to interact with, we are excited that the following local leaders have agreed in advance to lead discussion sessions at the event.
- Daniel Robin, Central Coast entrepreneur and venture catalyst, will be delivering a keynote covering the recent green trends and technologies, with a particular focus on cleantech/greentech innovation. He will also delve into capital flows as they fuel the next wave of green jobs, and how and why green is strong despite the state of the current economy.
- Nick Flores works at Green For All as the manager of the Capital Access program, which is committed to mobilizing financial, human and social capital to help create, sustain, and scale green jobs in the U.S. He is currently committed to launching Green For All’s “Business Coaching Program,” in which seasoned business coaches and executives will be paired with green entrepreneurs and small businesses.
- Sandy Skees is founder and president of Communications4Good, a triple bottom line public relations agency. Sandy provides businesses, early stage companies and organizations with sustainability analysis, communications counseling and program implementation. Her trademarked methodology assesses organizational assets, legacy, vision, human capital, business goals and market conditions to unlock the goodness inside of business through the power of language, stories, and communication.
- Ian Browde is a seasoned business executive with diverse experience in both entrepreneurial and large corporate environments. He is CEO/founder of GreeningPoint, Inc. a Santa Cruz-based company that markets and sells green-tech solutions and programs for public and private sector organizations. The company’s portfolio includes community carbon management programs, carbon accounting software and low-carbon enterprise innovation workshops.
- Amy Courtney co-owns and operates Freewheelin’ Farm, a 9 acre farm on the north coast of Santa Cruz County. Since its beginning in 2003, Freewheelin’ Farm has been delivering their fresh produce to the Santa Cruz area via bicycle and trailer. The farm currently serves 75 families through their Community Supported Agriculture program and provides produce to several area restaurants.
